Lithium Ion Battery Guide

Specifications – Battery

  • Substance – Lithium Ion Battery, Case – plastic
  • DC 10.9V, 8250mAh/90Wh, Charge Current 4.0A, Charge Voltage 12.73V
  • LEDs – Bottom right hand corner – press the round circle, this will display the LED indicators showing the battery charge

      RED Flashing bottom light <10% charge

      RED Static bottom light 10-25% charge
      RED Static and 1 GREEN light 25-50% charge
      RED Static and 2 GREEN lights 50%-75% charge
      RED Static and 3 GREEN lights 75-100% charge

Warnings and Cautions

  • Do not expose the battery to excessive physical shock or vibration
  • Do not disassemble or deform the battery
  • Do not allow contact with water
  • The lithium ion battery should be between 25% and 75%of full charge when stored for a long period of time
  • Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated area
  • Do not expose the battery to open flames
  • DO NOT stack batteries on top of each other

Check over battery for visible damage before placing in PC or charger (such as damaged terminals or visible cracks in casing). Remove any damaged batteries from circulation and give to NUM or equipment officer.

How To Use

  • Plug in Power Cord to GPO Outlet
  • Slide battery in to charging unit with pins closest to the LED light
  • When inserted correctly, LED will show Orange to show charging is in progress
  • Do not force the battery into the bay
  • When battery is finished charging, LED will be Blue

WARNING – Electric Shock if not used properly

Charging unit is to be placed away from water and flammable items on a flat sturdy surface. To clean the charging unit – do not immerse unit. Wipe over unit with a dry cloth. If required, use a damp cloth, cleaner to be sprayed on to the cloth, not directly on to the unit.
